The Extensive Reading Scheme

 

           ‘Reading is FUN!’ is the slogan of the Extensive Reading Scheme. It is a scheme to motivate the students to read, and to cultivate the students’ reading habit.

 

           Reading books is like saving money. The more you read, the more you get from it. Therefore, every student has a ‘Reading Saving Account’.

           After reading a book, the students need to save his/her knowledge. How can we save the knowledge? Write down three new words from the book that impress you very much! Not enough? Read aloud and share the book with your friend, your family, or your neighbour! Record it in the Reading Saving Account – and let’s see how many books your piggy bank has saved!
