Miss Luk Wing Yin, this name may not sound very familiar to you. As this is my first year in this school. Here I have composed a small portfolio with photos. I hope this will get you acquainted with me, so next time you see me on campus, you could flash a smile or have a chat with me.
Pui Kiu students impressed me as confident, caring and respectful. I am particularly touched by the students’ ability to reflect on their experience, as shown after the P.5 Talent Show.
Do you want to know more about me? I am a Catholic since I was small.? Let me share something with you. The Book of Proverbs in the Bible encourages us: “ Listen to instruction and learn to be wise.” [Proverbs 8:33]. During our school days, we receive a lot of instructions. We are instructed in communication skills and the proper use of language. We are instructed in various ways of calculation. But alongside all these instructions, something else is going on: we are being formed in different personal, social and humanistic ways, so that all the instructions we receive may produce within us a wisdom what grasps the deeper meaning of life.
My dear students, with the words from the Book of Proverbs, I encourage you to seek this wisdom that goes beyond all instructions. Learn to become reflective and integrated people – people with wisdom, care, love and compassion for others.
